Field Superintendent/Foreman
Job Description
Reports directly to whom:
Field Project Manager
Directly supervises whom/what: Journeymen/Apprentices and Subcontractors
Role: To oversee and manage the individual jobs within the residential department and make sure they come in on-time and at or under budget
Tasks and Duties:
- Oversee the loading and unloading of materials and equipment
- Pre-walk-through with builder, Field Project Manager, and Senior Design Engineer before the job begins to understand job design and installation requirements
- Layout the work at the job location
- Communicate back to the FPM on any design changes required before making the change in the field
- Hold a job talk meeting each morning before starting work (5 min)
- Review previous days work
- Cover items to accomplish that day
- Talk about job safety
- Oversee the installation, including overseeing all helpers and subs that are assigned to the job
- Complete and email daily progress reports to the Purchase & Install Coordinator
- Manage all labor requirements including communicating daily times and future labor needs
- Perform job handoff if moving to another job before completion
- Correct any issues that Quality Control finds that need addressing
Job Requirements:
- Must possess management and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to work overtime if needed (and approved)
- Mechanical aptitude
- EPA certification (at least type 1 and 2)
- Must have valid driver's license
- Able to successfully pass a background check and drug test
- Must be able to work on ladders (up to 40') and rooftops
- Must have required tools (per tool list)

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to see well enough to read reports, data, schematics and drawings.
- Must be able to hear well enough to communicate on the telephone and in person.
- Must be able to use your fingers for grasping, feeling.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift to 100 pounds and reach. Will be required to carry, lift, push, or pull.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and be able to crawl on hands and knees for at least 30 feet.
Experience:
Preferred 2 years of experience working in technical role or similar job role
