Warehouse Inventory Clerk

Job Description

Reports directly to whom: Facilities/Warehouse Supervisor


Directly supervises whom/what: None.


Role: The Warehouse Inventory Clerk is responsible to maintain a safe, clean and efficient company facility. This person will also make regular reviews to provide an environment of continuous improvement of our space. This person is integral in maintaining a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The WIC is also responsible for running several supporting functions to insure smooth transition of product flow between departments.


Tasks and Duties:

  • Maintain a clean warehouse and production yard.
  • Unload any delivery trucks, notify responsible partied, and properly label and place equipment and material.
  • Ensure that anything leaving the warehouse is signed for and applicable systems are updated.
  • Create and maintain warehouse signage and walk space so that employees are aware of location boundaries.
  • Turn in all paperwork every day.
  • Implement the shipping and receiving process.
  • Do a routine, annual physical inventory check of the warehouse, shop, and trucks.
  • Participate in any applicable L10 Meetings.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to work overtime if needed (and approved).
  • Exhibit great interpersonal communication skills.
  • Be a detail-oriented thinker.
  • Be able to effectively process inventory with a very limited space.
  • Maintain a very clean workspace and station.
  • Handle incoming priority requests without sacrificing proper warehouse procedures.
  • Demonstrated skill in verbal and written communication.
  • Fork Lift Certified.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check, driver records check, and drug test.

Preferred 2 years working in a similar capacity.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to see well enough to read reports, data, statistics, drawings and information on a computer screen and mobile device.
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate on the telephone and in person.
  • Must be able to use your fingers for grasping, feeling, and be able to operate a computer and calculator.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift to 50 pounds and reach. Will be required to do carrying, lifting, pushing, or pulling.
  • Must be able to walk short distances and climb stairs in officer and industrial spaces to access file cabinets, office machinery, other work stations, etc.
  • Must be able to speak clearly.



  • Notify departments of any shipments received to warehouse
  • Maintain a clean and presentable appearance of the yard and warehouse
  • Ensure that all assets and materials are secured per CSI policies
